5.1. Creating Static Sites

This guide details the steps for uploading and hosting your static website files using DJAZ.

Introduction:

DJAZ allows you to quickly and easily host static websites, making it perfect for landing pages, simple portfolios, and documentation.

Steps:

Navigate to the Static Sites Section:

From your DJAZ dashboard, click on Static Sites in the left-hand menu.

Prepare Your Website Files:

Gather all your website files (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, etc.) into a single ZIP archive.

Upload Your Site:

Locate the upload form, and select the ZIP archive with your site files.

Customize the Short URL (Optional):

Customize the URL of your site.

Click the Create Button:

Click the Create button, and your website will be live as soon as files are uploaded.

Tips:

Ensure your ZIP archive contains an index.html file in the root directory, as this will serve as the entry point to your website.

Optimize your website files for performance (e.g., compress images, minify CSS and JavaScript) to ensure fast loading times.

Relative file paths will be needed.
